Spiring Without Him

Spring

By a handful of blossom
I am waiting
A day that he appear
I am alike spring

By a handful of blossom
He will arrive
In a moment filled with flower
Suddenly he will arrive

May sun rise
From west That day
Or perhaps
sun’s life End

That day can see
The smell of flower and heavens
That day can smile
With stream again

That day Butterflies
Will sing song
Buds will bloom
With smile

That day is
The last day of waiting
The end of the cold season
And beginning of a new spring.

That Inevitable Day!

قسمت هایی از شعر " روز ناگزیر" از قیصر امین پور با ترجمه انگلیسی اون از خودم

Inevitable Day

These days that pass,
Every day
I feel someone
Is calling in the wind.
I feel,
Someone is calling me
from far away foggy roads;
A far familiar voice.

The familiar voice of his calling is
Like flashing of light,
Like passing of noruze,
Like footsteps of day’s arrival,
That inevitable day that will come.

A day
On which crooked passerbys
Find a second to be honored
And observe
The sun in the sky.

That day
The fly of cordial hands
Seeking for friends
Will begin.

A day that is a new day
to flight
A day that all letters are open.

A day that there is no begging hands
And pleading is a sin.

That day
Smiling without expectation
Is the custom of kindness.

A day that poets are not forced
To sell their smile
In rhymed cramped chambers.

A day that feeling’s price
Is not addressed
Like cloth’s price.

A day that green won’t be yellow.
Flowers can grow wherever
They like.

Hearts can break whenever
They need.

Mirrors can have no right
To tell lies
To the eyes.

And walls can not grow
Without window.

A day
That the sky is not wishful for stars.
A day that
There is no need of metaphor
To wish such a day.

O’ nice day that are coming!
O’ roads vanished in fog!
O’ difficult days to go by!
Come out of the seconds!
O’ sunny day!
O’ day of advent!
O’ who that your coming is as bright as day!

These days that pass
Every day
I am waiting for your coming

But
Tell me that whether I am
In your coming day of or not?

About the poem:

Gheysar Aminpour is a contemporary poet of Iran. His poems mostly are social and are about the people of the time, their tiredness and confusion with the chaos of the 20th century and their nostalgia for the past. He also describes and put his personal ideas and feeling to its poem a lot, Feelings that are as he said” the same as a contemporary people of the time”

The title of poem is metaphor for the reappearance of the12th Imam of Shia. In this poem, at the first stanza he is waiting for something that is familiar but forgotten. According to all Hadith and utterance in Islamic thought he knows it will happen some day and it is an inevitable day.

Then he describes the ordinariness of people, who are such busy with worldly materials and aims that even not have enough time to see the sun in the sky. May here “sun” is a metaphor for that familiar forgotten things_ the saver_ that is present and will come.

Then he starts to describe a utopia, a world promised by all holy books that the savor wills create it. A world that on which all the problems presented in the current society are solved. He shows his complains about unreal friends, beggars, loneliness of human, tyrant, liars, forgotten nature and even the wrong geometrical of cities. In every stanza he criticizes a problem of the society and describes it in way that will appear on that inevitable day after Advent Day.

At last in the last stanza he addresses that new day and invites it to come sooner and He knows that savor the only solution for this disorganized world and knows him as bright as a day lighted with sun. But a great question is in his mind that will I exist on that day or not? In his entire days pass, he hears the voice of those good days and is waiting for coming of them which is an allusion to Islamic thought that “
being awaited itself is the greatest prayer”.

MESS

I do not know what is going on in the world?
I think every thing is in mess.
I do not like it.
When I turn the radio on, or when choose a TV channel, there is just one thing.
And that is: love
The word that I do not know where is his or her place in my life.
Through all my life I was searching for it, but I could not find it any where.
What is it? And where is his or her place?
I am desire to meet it.
I am tried of a life without it.
I know that GOD can help me, but I do not know why he does not or al least does not show me.
some one is calling me.
who is it?
it?
no, I don't want.
I need someone, a human to talk, to touch, to feel warmness of.
No I made a mistake.
I need living in a countryside for short period.
I need greenlands, sunshine, bird's songs, and trees.
I don't know what i need
I am always in mess.
mess
mess
mess.......

Where are my shows?

Sohrab sephri is my favorite Iranian poet. His poems are full of light, love and life. There is a trace of nature in all his life which is reflected in all his poems, too. The 7th of October was his birthday and I gift a translation of one of the most beautiful one to you. Hope to enjoy it much!

Where are my shoes?
Who was it who called Sohrab?

It was a familiar voice

like the touch of the wind on the leave.
My mother is asleep
so are Manouchehr and Parvaneh*
and perhaps all the townsfolk.

The June night passes gently over seconds like an elegy,
And a cool breeze from the corner of the blanket sweeps my sleep.
It smells of separation:
My pillow is full of the song of the swallow plumes.

Morning shall break,
The sky will migrate
Into this cup of water.

I must go tonight!
I who spoke to the folk in this region through the widest window,
Never heard a word that matched time;
No loving eye stared at the ground;
Nobody was enchanted by looking at the garden,
Nobody took a magpie seriously at a farm.

I am dejected like a cloud.
When I behold Houri -
the neighbor's full grown lass -
Studying theology
At the foot of the rarest elm tree on earth.

There are other things also -
moments of exaltation
(For example I saw a poetess
So absorbed watching the horizon
That the sky laid eggs in her eyes;
And one night out of other nights,
A man questioned me:
"How long does it take to the rising of grapes?)

Tonight I must go!
I must take a suitcase
Big enough to contain my shirt of loneliness
And walk in a direction
Where epic-singing trees can be seen;
Towards the vast wordless expanse
which keeps calling me.

Someone called me again: Sohrab!,
Where are my shoes?

HE WILL COME.....

The saver

In this autumn days of life
We are celebrating the spring footprints of you
O’ the traveller of light!

The night allies of your absence have surrounded us,
We are dying gradually
Souls are depress
Wishes are dying
Wars are growing…
The earth is tired

Now, The teacher of peace and love
In the dawn of one day of these dark days
Remove curtains

The rider of the bright plain, Come!
The sun of the triumph morning, come!

One thousand Narcisses in the garden of our hearts call you
And one thousand birds in the sky of our enthusiasm immigrate to your nestle
From the Adam till to The last prophet, every one is waiting for you
The unfinished way of all prophets is waiting till you come and finish the God’s way on the earth

O’ the undying sun!
Come and Finish our Great Prospect
In the day of your birthday,
Not only us, but
The world is waiting for you………

Wishes Night

The first Thursdays of Rajab in my country Iran is called “wishes night “.
Rajab is one of the God’s chosen months. He invites his people to apologize for their sins and ask God to forgive them.

And at the wishes night they ask their best wishes for themselves and who they like most......

Look every where in this world. What you can see?

Ever since the day Cain’s hand
Shed the blood of Abel on God’s land,
Ever since the day Joseph’s brother cast him in well
Humanity had died.
…and
Our age
Bespeak the Death of humanity
….

We all love Rainbow and searching for it.
The Rainbow that God promises it after destruction
It is every one biggest wish to live in peace
Under the Rainbow’s reflections of light.
And in this holy night;
Let us gather and prayer for His coming…
Coming of the Son of Narciss
Who God promises to all his creatures

With a handful of flowers
I am waiting for him
I will be fresh as spring
On The day that He comes...

And now
what is your wish???

THE BIG QUESTION!!!

There is a question in my mind!
Who know the answer?
I do not know it...
And whatever I think the answer goes farther and farther…

This is something like misery in my mind's country land..

What do you think?
Can you answer me???

The problem is:

Which one is Better: Knowledge or Money!?

Ha…
Wait..
Why do you think like this???!

It is Not Growing Like a Tree

A Lily of A Day

It is Not Growing Like a Tree
It is not growing like a tree
In bulk, Doth make man better be;
Or standing long an oak, three hundred year,
To fall a log at last, dry, bald, and sere:

A lily of a day
Is fairer far in May
Although it fall and die that night;
It was the plant and flower of light.
In small proportion we just beauties see;
And in short measure, life may perfect be.

This poem remembers me a great person.
She is white as a lily, and green as a tree in her short life.
She grew up by the most complete person who is her father. But not in a bulk, in the flower land of God.

She is the daughter of our prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him)
She is a gift of God to him and the world. She had a short life of a lily but is great as a hugest tree.

Her name is Fatima Zahra. Fatima means absolute cleanness and Zahra means brilliant. She is the brightest female star in the blue sky of Islam.

In her small life she was a sample of complete woman and God remember her as a sample for all the women and mother in all ages.

When her great father died, some people who did not knew the light ignored her father’s advises about her values and stepped on her flower bed and injured the White Lily.

She was only 18 years old when they attacked her and broken her branches

She belongs to theheaven and backs to there…
.

.

.
.

Years pass one after each other and now Muslims call her birthday’s day as the “Mother and Woman day” but yet people could not understand the whole values of her. The grave of her is hidden because of her enemies.

...And we are waiting for his son to show us that Unknown
Heaven
and take a revenge of her murderer…….

Hijab, In a View of an Irainian Gril

Hijab, My Rules or God’s Rules?

Every system or place, or every idea that exists in this world, contains of some rules. The governor or the boss of each system establishes some rules and ideas, and then says to his people if you want to be part of us, you should obey these rules; otherwise you will be punished. Whatever that system or idea is greater, its rules are more precise. The governor produces those rules, some for having better discipline, some for giving more benefits to his people and some just for knowing how they obey his/her rules.

This world is the greatest system and God is the governor of it. He creates The man as a small part of his great system. He teaches them the last rules and laws of his system by his latest prophet in a religion called Islam. One of the most important laws of Islam is Hijab. Hijab means cover and in Islam both men and women are supposed to wear it. Hijab is something like a supporter for the women to keep them from evil’s eyes in the system. By wearing Hijab they will feel save mentally and physically. The 29th, 30th and 31 verses of soreh- Noor and some other verses like the 59th verse of soreh- Ahzab in holy Ghoran are about the benefits and qualities of Hijab in Islam. In these verses of holy Ghoran, God orders to men keep their eyes of looking to the women and order women to cover their body and hair from other men except their husband and some other close relatives. God say not only there is a hidden beauty in women body but also there is something in heart of men, which women are not aware of it. I create them and I know them better than themselves. I give them these needs to save human being from extinction and give joy to them. But they must learn how and when use it. Thus they can be part of my organization and I will congratulate them in my eternal heaven.

In this system there are different kinds of people. Some obey God for his own sake. They know He gifts us every thing and we desire to thanks him instead. And the best way to thanks God is to obey his rules and laws if not as he say, we have been obeying the Evil and deserve the hell. They obey God to show their mercy to him and to steps forward in the road of heaven, sets up by God himself. Moreover we all know that God did not force anyone to obey his order. Every person has a free will to choose his/her way. May some wants to step in the road of Evil. There is no obligation. But remember we are a tiny part of a great system and we should obey the rules of it, not the set of laws established by of our whishes and desires. When a piece of a system have not been in his/her right place and causes chaos, the order of that system will be lost.

Consequently our country is like that system. We live in a Muslim society and believe in Islam. The rules of our system are based on it and the members of it should obey the rules. But human is the only creature of God that possesses rationale and thought. There are some people in our organization that should be aware of the philosophy hidden behind every rule and not worship God or obey him just for his own sake. They should not be forced to obey. The God’s language is kindness. The surly parts first should become aware of the philosophy at the back of their duties, not forces them to do best. People with the rationale given by the God can recognize every philosophy but sometimes, some of them are so much far from God that can’t hear God’s voice. Or their hearts are so covered by sins that they can’t obey him lovingly via their heart. They don’t think about God’s rules, but consider just about their own whishes. The question is: Really what shall we do with that surly part of our system?

Hope

Hope

Through the window,
The sky is dark,
The moon is far,
The birds are alone,
And the flowers are invisible.

I wish for sunshine,
For green trees,
And birds song.

I like the river song hitting the stones,
The wind song blowing through the grasses,
And the life song spreading in the world.

I need a green plain full of red flowers,
A blue sky full of blue clouds,
And a yellow sun full of lights.

The winter will go
And the summer will come.
Through the window
A sparkling life is waiting for you…

Painting with Words!!

Red Meat ,Green Vegetables?

Have you ever thought about a world without animal products? We want or not our life is connected with them. They serve us and we like them. But in this amazing world, there are some people who for many reasons do not like eating or using animal products. They are called vegetarian. Vegetarian generally is some one who does not eat meet, poultry, and fish. They eat mainly fruit, vegetables, legumes, grains, seeds and nuts. Some vegetarians eat egg and dairy but avoid hidden animal products such as beef, chicken stock and gelatin. Another group does not eat any animal products and even not use animals’ leather; they are Vegan. What is the hidden reason under it? Why they become vegetarian and change their lifestyle entirely? No vegetarians become vegetarians for one reason. There are number of different reasons for it. Personal health, personal finance, environment, economic, world hunger, compassion for animal, belief in nonviolence, ethic and spiritual reason are some that are important for them .And do you think these reasons are sufficient to become part of green eater or not?

Vegetarians believe they care about their environment extremely. They say by eating herbal food instead of animal food they conserve their non – renewable sources of energy. Because plants are easily cook and consume less fossil fuel. And also they do not need much of water to be cooked. Another reason is the love for the animals. They are ethical people and believe we all are God’s creatures and we do not have right to kill other creatures. They accept as a true fact that till we kill animal there would not be Pease on the earth!

What’s more Vegetarians care about their personal health and finance lots. We the entire are aware of beneficial roles of plant. They become enriched by vitamin D and C under the sun. They make our skin fresher and keep it young. Plants have less fat than Animal foods and they do not contain cholesterol and decrease the risk of heart diseases, Diabetes, Fatness and Hypertension (high blood pressure). They show by giving statistic records that rotten teethe are more in number among the Red eater. Therefore, Human originally is created as an herbal eater creature, so eating plant is more beneficial and do not damage humans physically, thus they do not need to spend their money to remake God’s gifts in their body. It can be a good way to save money!

Options bring up above and so many other ones are reasons that cause some humans think about not eating meat and animal foodstuffs. While Vegetarians are choosing wide variety of foods, and consume enough calories, they close their eyes to the delicious foods and ignore their appetizing smells just for their own personal reasons. We all love animal and feel sympathy for them as we love nature and its green plants. They both are God’s gifts to us and we respect them. We, every one know that eating animal foods overdosed are dangerous and for a healthy life we should keep on eating it in a moderate way. But the suggestion is: for having a healthier life and gifting “Pease” to the world, please remember the vegetarian’s personal reasons and keeps your mind on the green nature and what comes out of the soil!

Believe the Spring

Open the window
For Breeze is celebrating
The birth of acacias.
And Spring
Is lighting a candle
On every branch, near each leaf.

All swallows returned
And cried freshness
The ally is overwhelmed with songs
And the cherry tree
Came to fruition
By the gifts of the acacia’s celebration.

Friend, open the window
Do you remember
How the earth burned in the wild thirst?
How leaves withered?
And how thirst burned the liver of soil?

Do you remember
What the whips of cold wind did to the vine
In long dark nights?
And What the furious wind did at midnight
To the breast of white roses
Do you remember?

Lo, believe the miracle of rain
And generosity within he eyes of meads
And love within the sprit of breeze
Joyfully celebrating
The birth of acacias
In these narrow lanes
With empty hand.

The soil has come to life again
Why are you sitting like stone?
Why are you so sad and forlorn?

Open the window
And believe
The Spring.

Birthday of Nature

In the modernized and hectic life of today’s world, that all the properties belonged to the past are forced to being forgotten, Norouze continues its living forever.
Norouze means new day. The new day of the spring, when winter finishes and spring comes and the nature stars its new life. It never being forgets because it has routed in our culture and it is a celebration for the birth of the spring.
We escort swallows when enunciating the spring and the rain when gifting its kindness to the meadows. Winter has gone and never can again attack white roses in the long dark nights of winter....

Spring has come!!!!

far years ago, Norouze carries a sack full of symbols and mysteries.
We can hear the footsteps of the Norouze, two our three weeks before FarvardiFrom n in the middle of March. It creeps gradually into our country and changes the street of our cities.
People are busy to make their home and clothes new. Vases of flowers can be seen everywhere, shops are filled by red fishes, colored eggs, wheat’s sprouts and haft-sin materials.

Haft –Sin

Seven (haft) is a holy number and has a supernatural power in all cultures. Iranians before Islam and after it holy seven and respect it. Ancient Zoroastrians of Iran believed on seven angles of God and each “S” of haft-sin table represents one of them.
Moreover, Haft-sin is a symbol of happiness and plenty gifts of God. It is a philosophical tradition with a tablecloth full of mystery.

The famous “S” are:
Sabze (spring sprout): symbol of New start and rebirth
Senjed (berry of the Sorb tree): symbol of love, shelter and security.
Sib ( red apple): symbol of health and beauty
Samanu (wheat pudding): symbol of sweetness and fertility
Serke (vinegar): symbol of preserver of the taste and relish
Sumac : spice of life , color of the sunrise and death of devil
Sir (garlic): symbol of peace an the clean out of bad omen

The mystery of the tablecloth is not finished yet, we put other symbolic objects, inherited of our old ancestors.
Things that where holy for them.
And each is a reminder of hidden aspects of life, nature and God’s gift to the humans.

GHoran: the holy book of Islam symbol of faith, knowledge and believe on God
Mirror: symbol of light, brightness and sunbeams.
Gold fish: symbol of water, which we cannot live without it.
Colored eggs: symbol of fertility and mother earth.
Candles: symbol of fire and energy.
Nuts, confectionaries, candies and spring fruits.

The earth goes by the sun; she passed the winter and enters to the spring,
The moment arrive!!!!
We call it sale-tahvil

All the family in their clean and new outfits sits around the haft-sin tablecloth, they prayer and read GHoran, the clocks strike New Year. The member of the family kisses each other and gives their gifts. They wish health, happiness and prosperity for all the people and the world.

“O Reformer of hearts and minds,
Director of days and nights,
And transformer of conditions,
Change ours to the best in accordance
with your will.”

Then it is a time to visit old members of the family and after that visiting other relations far or near. These enjoyable gatherings continue for 13 days up to Sizda bedar day.

The Nature Day
The 13th of the Farvardin is called sizdah bedar or the nature day.
The soil has com to life again, the smell of rain and grass, the blue sky and the white clouds, meadows, rivers, trees; they all are happy and fresh.

Why we sit and do not touch the spring.
We have celebrated the arrival of the spring for 13 days and now it is a time to go to the nature and breathe the freshness of it.
Good for the days that are coming…..

History of Norouze

Norouze is a celebration, which has a history as long as Iranian civilization; it has been celebrated by all the major cultures of ancient Iran for at least 3000 BC and it has rooted in traditions of zoroastian belief system. There are narrated tales about the origin of Norouze in Iranians culture reminded of ole ages ago.

** The Zoroastrian honor the ten-day period in order to make happy the spirit of their dead ancestors, which return to the material world on that day.

**Jamshid , the Pihdadi king, sat on a golden throne while elves carried him on their shoulders. He traveled from Damavand to Babele in just on day. People saw the sun’s rays on him and celebrated the day.

**Solomon has lost his king finger and, as a result, lost his reign. After searching for it for forty days, he found his ring and recovered his sovereignty. Hence, the people cried, “Norouze (the new day) has come.

**Norouze is the day that all people promise to God not to worship anyone except him and obey his senders and prophets. (In Islam we call it Alast day).

** Is a day that the sun rose and wind below and the earth became fresh and alive.

**It is the day that Noah’s ship landed on the Jody Mountain after Flood.

** The day that our prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) holed Ali (p.b.u.h) on his shoulders to break idol of Ghoraysh in Kabba.

** And it is the day that prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him), introduces Ali (p.b.u.h) to the peoples and makes him his sub
stitute.
